Cough…
Cough…
And another cough.
Ok Mother Nature can we get some stability? What’s going on?! I was totally digging the warm 80 degree weather with the occasional rain shower cuz that feels hellagood and now homegirl has switched it up on me.
And then the coughing started. I was just getting into my flow with the whole iced beverage thing and was cleansing for the last week or so…and now I’m back to hot dranks. What’s good though?!
I am legit coughing and typing this blog post as I lick my lips reminiscing on the million smoothies I was experimenting with over the last week or so. Honestly, we’ve kept it pretty simple in our home. It would be untrue and a whole bunch of bs if I said this wasn’t with the wedding in mind. Um hello bride to be in less than 100 days over here!
Can we take a quick moment to breathe that in?!
Holy shiz. I’m getting married. And my dress has arrived. Gasp.
Yes. So I am doing my best to keep up with the goodness I’m already doing and not bust out of my dress from the booty.
So if you’ve been following me on Snapchat or Instagram and see a shit ton of salads, smoothies and smoothie bowls bear with me. But best believe I enjoy ma treats once in a while.
One of my guiltless (I don’t believe in that guilt bs) pleasures has to be an iced spiced chai with almond milk and a shot of espresso. Holy cow. It is AMAZEBALLS.
I’ll be honest, I only go to this one particular place called Slave to the Grind (it’s in Bronxville, if you’re a NYC res) or I only really like what my momma makes, it’s called Yogi Tea (recipe is in my cookbook, Yogi Eats). Now I like to consider myself a chai fanatic (fan just doesn’t sound right and connoisseur doesn’t suit moi), so I’m picky as hell. My friends over at Bob’s Red Mill and Fit Approach hooked a sister up with
But wait…what’s my point and rant about the chai obsession?!
Well…my friends over at Bob’s Red Mill and Fit Approach hooked a sister up with a swaggilicious box of plant based protein powders. Now, listen, that’s normally not my thing but I really kept my mind and tastebuds open to try this new line. And lo and behold, they give me a chai flavor.
This unique blend is made from pea protein powder, chicory root fiber, chia seeds, vanilla chai, probiotics, and monk fruit extract for a touch of sweetness. It is gluten free, vegan, a good source of omega-3, excellent source of iron, and high in protein and fiber.
I mean, can you friggin’ dig it?! Now, imagine the orgasmic feel of chai in your mouth with the added benefits of probiotics, protein to get you through the day with the illusion of guilty pleasure.
Okay, okay, I won’t keep you from the recipe any longer. I know you want it.
