September 26, 2010: Italian Bistro: A Meal fit for Royalty

The Entire Meal: Italian Bread & Butter, Baked Ziti & Chicken Parmesan (for the carnivores)

Baked Ziti

Chicken Parmesan (Yes, I made this…I don’t eat it but I make it for my boyfriend. He says I do make a delicious chicken though)

September 23, 2010: Schine Student Center’s Cheese Quesadilla

Sometimes a cheese quesadilla is the perfect meal to satisfy a craving after a long day of studying.  I had three exams this week so quick and easy meals were the best way to go for me.

I liked the crunch and flavor of this quesadilla. It was filled with cheese, tomatoes, green and red peppers as well as onions.   It was served with a side of salsa and was a great combination.  I do admit that I wish they provided me with sour cream and guacamole to make this meal complete.  Peace, love and no beef!

September 9, 2010: Ingredient of the WEEK

Jalapenos!

I am in love with spicy food and I love what a jalapeno does to the dishes I make. Spice is something I live for! As far as I have read people who eat spicy food tend to burn more calories (faster metabolisms).  I can’t live without my spice.   I am still waiting for my hot sauce from my mom.  This hot sauce was unlike any other and actually made me tear, which is a rare occasion because I have a high tolerance for spice.  I think it has to do with the fact that the sauce was made with Habanero chiles rather than jalapenos.

Here is a link to some Food Network recipes that include Jalapenos! I am considering trying the Jalapeno Margharitas!

I’ll let you know how that works out!

Peace, love and no beef!

P.S. Wash your hands with warm water and soap after handling these hot babies.  I touched my nose and it was not a pretty site.
