Step away from the french fries and make a conscious effort to watch what you eat today. Even if you make one positive change in your diet, your body will feel the difference. Take it one step at a time. Your body will thank you later.

My version of Linda Steidel’s dishes. Roasted balsamic tomatoes, roasted baby zucchini, ciabatta bread warm with butter and spaghetti with pesto, arugula and pecorino romano cheese served over roasted balsamic tomatoes. For dessert? Tiramisu. Lady fingers soaked in freshly brewed espresso then layered with a mascarpone, cognac, vanilla and sugar cream and dusted with cocoa powder.

Crustless Vegetable Quiche (nix the buttery flaky super fattening crust and opt for this delectable crowd pleaser)
Gruyere Cheese, Leeks, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Spinach combine to make this a wholesome but satisfying quiche. The best part? It’s not ridiculously eggy so you can actually focus on the vegetables.

French Macaroons from Paris in a Cup (a phenomenal tea shop inspired by Paris).
Pistachio, Coffee, Vanilla, Raspberry, Chocolate and Salted Caramel. I definitely was not fond of the vanilla…salted caramel wins in my book.

Drunken Linguini from Cafe Lucca.
Linguini served in a vodka sauce with portabello mushrooms and sundried tomatoes (I salivate just thinking about this dish).
